NOVEMBER 1st – NOVEMBER 30th 2025
We kindly ask residents and property owners to follow the program guidelines:
- Rake leaves into a single pile at the curb (not in the street).
- Biodegradable paper bags are available at Village Hall (plastic bags are not allowed).
- No stones, trash, or debris in piles.
- Don’t block storm drains, hydrants, or utility covers.
- Keep cars away from leaf piles—crews can’t collect if vehicles are in the way.
Brush & Branch Collection
- Place in a separate pile at the curb.
- Branches must be under 3 feet long and under 3 inches thick.
- No oversized branches, stumps, or mixed materials.
Important Reminders
- Do not mix leaves with grass, brush, or other yard waste—mixed piles will not be collected.
- All piles must be out by November 30th. After that, disposal is the homeowner’s responsibility.
- The Village is not part of the Town of Southampton leaf voucher program.
- Large contractor piles must be coordinated in advance with DPW. Property owners are responsible for their landscapers’ compliance.
Notes
- Crews will make multiple passes, but it may take a week or more before they return to your area
- Schedules may change due to weather, emergencies, or staffing.
FINAL DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 30th
All piles must be curbside by this date.
Anything left after NOVEMBER 30th will NOT be collected and becomes the responsibility of the property owner.
